— Неужто правда? — прошептал Степан в страхе. Его глаза испуганно мерили могучую фигуру Мрака, задержались на его волчьей шкуре. — Никогда не видывал людей Леса. Сказывают про вас всякое…
Снежана ткнула его локтем, Степан поперхнулся, умолк. Мрак спросил подозрительно:
- Что болтают?
- Небылицы всякие,- ответил Степан нехотя. Он уронил взгляд.- Бабьи сказки. Надо же чем-то детей пужать. Вроде бы перекидываетесь в полнолуние. А волхвы вовсе лютых волков подзывают к домам…
Он бросил на Мрака пугливый взгляд. Снежана подгребла детей, девочки начали тереть кулачками глаза, подхныкивать.
- Бабьи сказки, — отмахнулся Мрак. — Навыдумывают. Я, к примеру, могу перекидываться в любой день.
